JUNIUS to debut brand new song on LA's Indie 103.1 and MySpace tonight
Boston's Post Wave pioneers JUNIUS will be debuting a brand new song, "Stargazers & Gravediggers," on Los Angeles radio station Indie 103.1 tonight between 7 and 8pm PST. The track's release is intended as a sneak preview of JUNIUS' forthcoming full-length The Martyrdom of a Catastrophist, to be released early next year.
The much-anticipated album, inspired by the life and theories of controversial scholar Immanuel Velikovsky, was recorded by Tom Syrowski and Kevin Mills (Weezer, AFI, Incubus) at the legendary Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood.
"While our roots and homes are still very much back east, it seems appropriate to release the first taste of this new album in Los Angeles, where we've spent most of the last year and a half working on it," said guitarist Mike Repasch-Nieves. The band has yet to announce who will be releasing the new album, and is still in talks with potential labels while getting ready to embark on its second European tour this year, scheduled for October 30th - November 22nd.
For anyone outside of the greater LA area, Indie 103.1 can be heard live online via their website. The song will also be streaming on JUNIUS' MySpace page after 8pm PST.
